Plethora Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Plethora collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Plethora mobile app, creator dashboard, websites, sharing pages, and related services. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
1. Who we are
Plethora is operated by Plethora Labs, an India-based entity located at Sadhu Waswani Chowk, Pune 411001, India.
For privacy questions, contact privacy@plethora.studio. For support, contact support@plethora.studio.
2. What this policy covers
This Policy covers information collected through Plethora, including accounts, profiles, bits, comments, replies, threads, reports, blocks, creator tools, sharing pages, and the creator dashboard.
Plethora does not sell personal data and does not use personal data for cross-app advertising or tracking in this version.
3. Information you provide
We collect information you choose to provide, including:
- Account information: email address, username or handle, display name, profile picture, age or date of birth where needed for eligibility, and login information from Google, Apple, magic code, or other supported sign-in methods.
- Profile and creator information: bio, creator tagline, links, categories, tags, uploaded bits, drafts, descriptions, thumbnails, publishing activity, and dashboard activity.
- Community content: comments, replies, forum threads, reports, moderation notes you submit, and other public or private interactions with Plethora features.
- Bit and upload information: source files, manifests, metadata, dependencies, validation results, generated thumbnails, version hashes, and related technical records needed to host and review bits.
- Stamps and collection state: free in-app stamp balances, collect actions, saved items, likes, shares, and other fantasy or social mechanics inside Plethora.
- Support and feedback: messages you send to us, bug reports, screenshots, diagnostic details, and other information you include when contacting us.
4. Optional creation assistance
If you use AI-assisted creation, debugging, or bit-generation features, we may process prompts, selected source code, error messages, generated output, and related conversation context to provide the feature.
Those requests may be sent to an AI service provider to generate a response. If you choose to provide your own AI API key in the app, the key is stored locally on your device and sent with your creation requests so the provider can process them. You can clear the key in the app.
Do not include secrets, private credentials, or information you do not want processed through that feature.
5. Information collected automatically
When you use Plethora, we may collect:
- Device and technical data: device model, operating system, app version, language, timezone, IP address received by our servers, crash logs, error reports, and performance data.
- Usage and analytics data: app sessions, bit views, impressions, feed position, time spent, taps, likes, saves, shares, collect actions, search queries, filters, playback events, upload events, and feature usage.
- Identifiers used for the service: account ID, anonymous analytics ID, session ID, and authentication tokens needed to keep you signed in and operate the service.
- Website data: cookies, local storage, and similar technologies needed for login, security, analytics, performance, and basic site functionality.
In this version, Plethora does not collect precise location, contacts, SMS or call logs, health data, financial account numbers, government ID numbers, or camera or microphone recordings.
6. Information from third parties
We may receive limited information from:
- Sign-in providers: Google, Apple, or other login providers may provide your email address, name, profile image, provider ID, and authentication confirmation, depending on what you approve.
- Service providers: hosting, authentication, storage, database, analytics, error reporting, security, and AI service providers may send us operational information needed to run Plethora.
- App platforms: Apple, Google, and other platforms may provide app distribution, install, crash, review, or compliance information according to their own terms and privacy practices.
7. How we use information

- provide the feed, creator dashboard, bit uploads, thumbnails, sharing pages, comments, replies, threads, likes, saves, and collections;
- operate free stamp and collect mechanics;
- personalize discovery and make the product feel relevant;

We do not use user content to train Plethora-owned AI models in this version.
8. What other users can see
Plethora is built around public creator content. Other users may see your public profile, username, avatar, published bits, bit metadata, comments, replies, threads, likes, saves or collection-related public activity where the product shows it.
Reports, blocks, private support messages, account deletion requests, and moderation notes are not shown publicly, though they may be reviewed by Plethora for safety and enforcement.
9. How we share information
We do not sell personal data. We may share information with:
- Other users: when you publish content, comment, reply, create threads, share, or use public social features.
- Service providers: providers that help us run authentication, hosting, storage, databases, edge delivery, analytics, error reporting, security, support, moderation workflows, and optional AI creation assistance.
- App platforms and sign-in providers: Apple, Google, and related platform services where needed for app distribution, authentication, security, review, or compliance.
- Legal and safety recipients: if required by law, court order, regulator request, or to protect users, creators, Plethora, or the public.
- Business transfer recipients: if Plethora is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
Service providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to us or as otherwise described in their own terms and privacy policies.
10. Legal bases
Where laws such as GDPR require a legal basis, we process personal data based on:
- Contract: to provide accounts, bits, creator tools, community features, sharing, and related services.
- Consent: where required for optional features, cookies, analytics, marketing, or age-related permissions.
- Legitimate interests: to keep Plethora safe, prevent abuse, improve the product, debug issues, and moderate content.
- Legal obligations: to comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, and maintain necessary records.
11. Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including service operation, safety, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and backups. In general:
- Account information is kept while your account is active.
- Published bits, comments, replies, and threads are kept until deleted, removed, or unpublished.
- Reports, blocks, moderation records, and safety records may be kept as needed to review issues, prevent repeat abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- Analytics events may be kept for up to 24 months; aggregated or de-identified analytics may be kept longer.
- Crash logs and diagnostic logs are generally kept for a shorter period, usually up to 90 days unless needed to investigate an issue.
- Backups may retain deleted information for a limited period before being overwritten.
12. Account deletion and data choices
You can request deletion of your account from inside the app where available, or by contacting us at privacy@plethora.studio. You can also use our account deletion page at https://legal.plethora.studio/delete-account.
When your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize personal data where required, subject to limited retention for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backups, and legitimate records.
Deleting your account may remove your profile and published content from public areas. Some technical, moderation, or audit records may remain where needed to protect the service or comply with law.
Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@plethora.studio.
13. Children and teens
Plethora is not intended for users under 16. Users who are 16 or 17 may use Plethora only where permitted by law and, where required, with parent or legal guardian consent.
For users in India, applicable data protection law may require verifiable parent or guardian consent before processing personal data of users under 18. If we learn that we collected personal data from a user under 16, or from a minor without required consent, we may delete the information and close or restrict the account.
14. International transfers
Plethora is based in India, and our service providers may process information in India, the United States, the European Union, or other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections.
15. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls, encryption in transit, provider security controls, logging, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, and you are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe.
16. Cookies, local storage, and analytics
Our websites and app use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for essential functionality, authentication, security, performance, crash reporting, and preferences.
Product analytics about how you use Plethora (for example app sessions, screens viewed, bits viewed, time spent, taps, likes, saves, shares, collect actions, searches, and uploads) is part of operating and improving the service and is collected while you use it. Plethora processes this data itself and also uses PostHog, Inc. (United States) as an analytics processor acting on our instructions under a data processing agreement. We send PostHog event data keyed to your account ID or an anonymous analytics ID, with IP-based location lookup disabled, and we do not send advertising identifiers, your email, or your name. We do not sell this data and do not use it for cross-app advertising or tracking. You can ask us to delete the analytics data held about you, including the copy at our processor, through the account deletion and privacy contact options described in section 12. Any future optional or marketing analytics would require a separate, explicit choice from you.
You may limit cookies through browser settings and limit certain device-level identifiers through your operating system settings. Some controls may affect product functionality.
17. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you through the app, website, or email. The updated Policy will be effective when posted unless stated otherwise.
